| The school of physics and microelectronics at Shandong
University grows up from the department of physics, which was established
in 1929. It is one of the ten Training Bases for Students in basic
sciences in China. There are three major specialties for the undergraduate
students, i.e. Physics, Applied Physics, and Microelectronics. |
| The
school is authorized to offer Ph.D programs to postgraduate students
in all different specialties in Physics, also in Microelectronics
and Solid Electronics, and in Material Physics and Chemistry. Condense
Matter Physics is one of the National Key Disciplines named by the
Education Ministry of China. The Crystal Material Laboratory, Low-dimensional
Material Laboratory and High Energy Physics Laboratory are the National
and Provincial Key Laboratories in the School. |
